Carrie Rickertsen knows that moving is personal. A home holds routines, memories, and plans for what comes next. Based in Gothenburg, she helps buyers and sellers across Central Nebraska work through those decisions with clear information, practical advice, and someone they can reach when a question comes up.

Originally from Rochester, New York, Carrie has called Central Nebraska home for more than 20 years. Her husband and the Huskers helped bring her here. The people and the pace of small-town life made her stay. Having moved several times herself, she understands both the excitement of finding a new home and the difficulty of leaving a familiar one.

Carrie earned her pilot’s license before she could drive a car. Later, more than a decade as a Navy spouse taught her how to manage a household, raise a family, and solve problems while her husband was deployed. That experience shows up in the way she prepares, communicates, and follows through for her clients.

Her residential work starts with understanding what matters to you. For sellers, that means looking closely at the home, deciding what needs attention, and developing a sensible plan for the market. For buyers, it means weighing the property, the price, and the way you want to live. She stays involved through the details that carry a transaction to closing.

Carrie is a co-founder of Homes by Ironhorse and serves as Chief Financial Officer of Ironhorse Land Company. She brings that attention to planning and detail to her client work. Her professional education includes the ABR® designation, AHWD certification, and C2EX endorsement. She has also received Mark of Excellence recognition.
